The implementation of a system to check the susceptibility of public servants to corruption in Uzbekistan is being suggested. This was announced by the director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Akmal Burhanov.
It is noted that this new system will be implemented by assessing the level of susceptibility to corruption among those in leadership positions and those in reserve for these positions.
“This will allow for the identification of individuals who have entered public service mistakenly or with the intent of illegally gaining wealth, as well as the selection of honest personnel for state institutions,” says the agency director.
Previously, it was reported that the former deputy mayor of Gulistan city was sentenced to 9 years in prison for defrauding Chinese investors.
