Earlier, there had been reports of an investigation regarding a video showing children being shown venomous snakes at a kindergarten.
At this time, information was provided by the Press Service of the Tashkent Region Department of Preschool and School Education.
The incident occurred on January 16th of this year at State Preschool Institution No. 7 in the Piskent district of Tashkent region.
The video showed the children at the preschool being entertained with now rare, Red Book-listed Central Asian cobras, without the kindergarten administration providing safety measures for the children's lives and health.
The performances were organized by an employee of the "Tashkent" amateur circus team, owned by the "Kumush diyori" private company in Olmaliq city, H.A. This individual had applied at the beginning of the school year to the district department of preschool and school education with a letter and program to show circus performances at educational institutions. Permission for these performances was granted by the authorities.
Animal stage acts were not shown in the performances program. On January 16, H.A. performed a show with animals dangerous to the lives and health of children at Preschool Institution No. 7 in the district.
An investigation was conducted by an operational group formed by the Tashkent Regional Department of Preschool and School Education. Actions were taken against individuals directly responsible for, and negligent in, the incident according to the conclusion of the operational group.
Furthermore, the situation has been fully monitored by the Internal Affairs Authorities.
