The Competition Authority's regional office in Andijan applied financial penalties to 3 grain companies. The committee's information service reported this.
It was revealed that these companies committed manipulative actions (not following the charts and not introducing the products to the exchange trades in the daily set volumes) in the realization through exchange trades of highly liquid and monopolistic type products.
Specifically:
- "Qo'rgontepa grain products" JSC — 724.2 tons of wheat flour and mixed fodder products;
- "Asaka grain products" JSC — 1394.0 tons of wheat flour and mixed fodder products;
- "Andijondonmahsulot" JSC — 509.2 tons of wheat flour products.
Accordingly, the regional office's special commission initiated action against the grain companies for signs of legal violation based on the requirements of the "Competition Law" and the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, and a decision to apply financial penalties was made.
Moreover, instructions were given to eliminate the violations of the law and prevent them from happening in the future, according to the committee's information.
