A video report has been circulating on social networks about a 4-year-old girl being electrocuted inside a transformer booth in Andijan.
According to the information provided by the Andijan regional branch of "Regional Power Grids" JSC, on July 13, a short circuit occurred at a 35/04 kV and 1000 kVA power transformer substation located in the basement of a multi-story building in one of the residential areas of Andijan district.
It was determined that the girl's cat entered the basement through a slightly open door and went inside the transformer, which was operating at high voltage, causing a short circuit. At the moment of the spark, the girl, who was watching the cat from behind the door, suffered burns to her face.
It was noted that the girl was immediately provided with first aid and hospitalized. Her condition is currently reported to be stable.
