The sale of nearly 8 kg of narcotic substances was halted in Surkhandarya and Namangan.

Citizens who planned to sell "opium" and "hashish" substances brought from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, concealed in their vehicle, have been arrested.

Rapid actions were taken by law enforcement agencies in the fight against the illegal circulation of narcotic substances.

In particular, a citizen born in 1987 from Denov district, Surxondaryo region, and his criminal partner residing in Termez city, born in 1985, were caught with material evidence while bringing 3 kg 849 gr. of “opium” substance to sell in the region of Samarkand. regionwhen they were detained.

During the pre-investigation check, it was found that this narcotic substance had been smuggled into the territory of Denov district by a Tajik drug courier previously.

In a rapid operation conducted in Pop district, Namangan region,a “Damas” make vehicle driven by a person born in 1983 from Chust district, moving along the “Tashkent-Namangan” route, was stopped and inspected. As a result, 2 kg 436 gr. of “hashish”substance hidden in the compartment was discovered and procedurally documented.

It turns out that this narcotic substance had been previously transported by Tajik drug couriers through bypass routes to the territory of Ohangaron district in Tashkent region, and left in a secret place from where it was being transported again.narcotic substancewas being taken back.

In another instance, a “Cobalt” make vehicle moving along the “Namangan-Andijan” route was stopped in Andijan city, upon inspection, a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, born in 1972, previously convicted for narcotic substance trade-related crimes was found in possession of 1 kg. 702 gr. of “hashish”substance, which was discovered and procedurally documented.

During the pre-investigation, it was revealed that he had smuggled this narcotic substance from the Kyrgyz Republic to Namangan region planning to sell it in Andijan city.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these individuals under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and detention as a precautionary measure has been applied.
