In July 2025, illegal use of energy resources in Uzbekistan resulted in damages amounting to 96 billion soums. This was reported by the Inspection for Control over the Use of Electricity, Oil Products, and Gas.
According to the report, during control measures conducted by Uzenergoinspection with the participation of law enforcement agencies, 279 cases of illegal consumption of energy resources by consumers were identified.
Additionally, 485 administrative cases were officially filed regarding violations related to consumers breaching the rules of energy resource usage.
Measures were taken against the violators, and relevant documents were submitted to law enforcement agencies.
