"Measures on the implementation of modern mechanisms for the protection and rational use of pastures" Presidential Decree (PF-15, January 30, 2025) has been adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported this.
According to the decree, the Silk and Wool Industry Development Committee will be abolished.
The duties and functions of the Silk Committee will be transferred to the following committees and ministries:
- tasks and functions related to pasture management – to the Veterinary and Livestock Development Committee;
- tasks and functions related to silk production and development – to the Ministry of Agriculture and the "UzbekSilkIndustry" association;
- the Karakul Breeding and Desert Ecology Scientific Research Institute and the Bukhara Desert-Pasture Fodder Crops Scientific-Production Center – to the system of the Veterinary Committee;
- The Silk Scientific Research Institute and the Uzbekistan Natural Fibres Scientific Research Institute – to the system of the Ministry of Agriculture.
