On the night of August 11, a fire broke out at the "Uch Qahramon" market located in Tashkent district, Tashkent region. The fire was quickly contained, and shops covering an area of 12,000 square meters were saved. However, 40% of the market's total 20,000 square meter area was damaged.
No casualties were reported as a result of the incident. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2, Clause "b" of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (violation of fire safety regulations) regarding the causes of the fire.
Investigative actions are currently being carried out to determine the causes of the fire. A final conclusion is expected to be announced.
