Research results published in the international scientific journal “Nature Aging” by Swiss scientists have aroused great public interest. This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Health.
It discusses an effective method for slowing down the aging process in humans.
It is noted that the comprehensive study, which lasted three years, involved more than 2000 healthy individuals aged 70 and older.
During the experiment, the participants were divided into two groups and, over a set period, consumed various combinations of Vitamin D and Omega-3 supplements while engaging in physical exercises.
The most effective result was recorded in the group taking Omega-3 supplements: after relevant tests, it was found that cellular aging significantly slowed down in them.
In turn, Vitamin D and physical exercises also proved to deliver positive results.
According to the scientists' final conclusion, a complex approach that includes Omega-3 and Vitamin D supplements, as well as regular physical exercises, can potentially slow down the aging speed in humans by 1-4%.
