Immunity – is the body's natural defense against infections and bacteria. Its main task is to detect and eliminate microbes and viruses that enter the body. The proper functioning of this system primarily depends on the correct balance within the organism. However, in some cases, immunity may weaken, leaving the body unable to fight diseases. To prevent this, following several rules is advisable, - says the Press Service of the Ministry of Health in its recommendation.

Proper nutrition: this rule plays an important role in strengthening immunity. In particular, foods rich in vitamins like C, D, E, omega-3 fatty acids, and various minerals and fibers enhance the body's ability to fight and maintain stable function.

For this, it is sensible to include natural fruits and vegetables, and foods like garlic, onions, carrots, beets, ginger, broccoli, spinach, greens, pumpkin, apples, citrus, honey, sea fish, dairy products, and lean meat into your diet.

Physical activity: being active and exercising every morning strengthens the immune system. Especially, walking, running, cycling, and swimming are very beneficial sports activities.

Drinking clean water: water is very important for the organism. It removes toxins from the body and helps strengthen the immune system. This, in turn, has a direct beneficial impact on this system, protecting the body from poisoning.

Conversely, drinking water in insufficient amounts negatively affects the activity of cells, tissues, and organs, leading to a weakening of the immune system. Therefore, experts emphasize the necessity of consuming 40 milliliters of water per kilogram of body weight daily.

Good sleep: resting well strengthens the immune system and aids the body's recovery. During sleep, immune cells work more effectively. For a complete rest, adults need an average of 7-8 hours of sleep daily.

Avoiding stress: continuous nervousness leads to a decrease in immunity. Therefore, maintaining mental stability is very important.

Following hygiene: washing hands frequently and adhering to other sanitary rules protects from microbes and viruses.

Additionally, getting vaccinated against diseases and quitting bad habits also strengthen the immune system.
