The Competition Committee is conducting a series of analysis and control work to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Law on Competition and other regulatory documents, to prevent unreasonable price increases, to protect consumer rights, and to regulate the subjects of natural monopolies.
As a result of the studies conducted during 2024, more than 400 cases of violations of competition legislation have been identified, and proceedings have been initiated against business entities in accordance with the established procedure.
As a result of the conducted work and instructions given by the Committee, nearly 50 billion UZS were recalculated for the benefit of more than 200,000 consumers.
In particular, it was discovered that "O'ZSUVTA'MINOT" JSC violated the price formation requirements stipulated by the Regulation approved by the Decree No. 239 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated October 28, 2010. As a result, it was found that "O'ZSUVTA'MINOT" JSC had gained almost 7 billion UZS of excess income, appropriate instructions were given, and their execution was ensured.

The enterprise and its regional branches, by violating the requirements of the Regulation approved by the Decree No. 722 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 29, 2023, were found to have gained almost 5 billion UZS of excess income. Appropriate instructions for recalculating in favor of the consumers were given, and their execution was ensured.
The Competition Committee continues to carry out relevant control measures in this regard.
