Hundreds of uncertified and unauthorized medicine boxes being introduced into circulation in Bukhara region have been exposed. The State Security Service reported this to Darakchi.uz.

During an urgent operation conducted jointly by the SSS and the Customs Committee, a search was carried out at the home and related vehicle of a resident of Bukhara district, born in 1985. As a result, 978 boxes of uncertified and unlicensed medicines of 78 types, including "Imudon," "Cerebrolysin," "Dopamine," and "Maalox," were identified and officially documented in accordance with procedural regulations.

During the investigation, it was revealed that another individual, a resident of Bukhara city born in 1962, was also involved in illegal activities related to these medicines. He is suspected as an accomplice in the crime.

According to the expert conclusion of the "Pharmaceutical Product Safety Center," these medicines:

— 32 types were not registered in Uzbekistan at all,

— 57 types lacked conformity certificates,

— 6 types were found to be of poor quality,

— and 4 types were completely counterfeit.

Most dangerously, the medicines were stored in conditions violating prescribed storage requirements. This absolutely prohibits their sale, storage, and practical use.

Regarding this case, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2, Clause "b" of Article 186³ of the Criminal Code against the citizens involved. Investigative actions are currently underway.

According to officials, if these medicines had not been intercepted in time, they could have reached consumers through pharmacies in Bukhara city and the districts of Shofirkon, Peshku, and Romitan.
