The Senate of the Oliy Majlis unanimously approved a law aimed at supporting voluntary donation at its recent plenary session. This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Health.

“Because of the improvements to the donation support system, this law introduces a number of new provisions to certain laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

They include:

“Honorary Donor of the Republic of Uzbekistan” badge recipients will receive a one-time cash reward, which has been increased from five times to fifteen times the minimum wage.

Donors awarded with this badge can choose when to take their annual leave at a convenient time.

They can use urban passenger transport (excluding route taxis and unmarked taxis) for free.

They are entitled to receive passes for sanatorium-resort treatment without waiting in line.

Furthermore, the law clearly defines the responsibilities of local government bodies in this direction. That is, they are tasked with promoting a culture of voluntary donation among the population, developing it with broad public participation, providing quality services for donors, and creating favorable conditions for them.

This law ultimately serves as a legal basis for fostering a culture of altruistic donation among the population.
