In social networks, messages were spread about “yesterday, June 17th, three districts of the capital were left without electricity for up to three hours”. The Ministry of Energy issued an official response regarding the situation.
It is noted that the messages spread in the networks are baseless.
“Yesterday, on June 17th at 21:00, due to a malfunction at the “Sokol” substation in Tashkent city, interruptions in the electricity supply were observed in some areas of Yunusabad, Mirzo Ulugbek, and Olmazor districts,” says the official statement.
Furthermore, the comment added that at 21:16, voltage was given to the 110 kV “Sokol-1” and “Sokol-2” power transmission lines coming from the “Sokol” substation, and the electricity supply to consumers was gradually restored.
“By 22:30, the electricity supply to all consumers was fully restored,” the report emphasizes.
