The next meeting of the Extended Scientific Council took place at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. It was attended by the leaders of the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan, the Committee on Religious Affairs, the international scientific research centers of Imam Bukhari, Imam Tirmidhi, and Imam Maturidi, as well as representatives of the Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan.
The main focus at the meeting was on the majestic color-painting works to be placed in the entrance hall of the Center. The leader of our country visited this center on January 29th this year and had provided appropriate recommendations regarding these works.
During the discussions, the issue of reflecting the figures of great representatives of the Islamic world - Abu Mansur Maturidi, Abu Muin Nasafi, Qaffal Shashi, and Abul Lays Samarqandi – in the niches was considered. Currently, representatives of the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and famous artists are conducting scientific and artistic research in this regard.
It was also emphasized at the meeting that special attention should be given not only to the contribution of historical figures to our country but also to their impact on the world's scientific and cultural development. Therefore, it is planned to reflect the figures of great scholars ranging from the First Renaissance period to the 20th century.
Currently, portraits of great personalities such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Tirmizi, Abu Ali ibn Sino, Abu Rayhan Beruniy, Bahauddin Naqshband, Jalaluddin Manguberdi, Amir Temur, Mirzo Ulugbek, Alisher Navoiy, and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur are being prepared for the niches.
