The Directorate of Muslims of Uzbekistan Fatwa Center's decision on the amount of Zakat Nisab, Fitr charity and Fidyah for the year 2025 was announced.
Accordingly, the Fatwa Center has set this year's Ramadan Zakat Nisab based on the value of 85 grams of 585 fineness gold at 61 million 200 thousand UZS. Based on this, anyone who has beyond their essential needs cash or trade goods worth at least 61 million 200 thousand UZS, will give one fortieth of the total amount (2.5 percent) to those entitled with the intention of Zakat.
The amount of Fitr charity has been determined as follows:
- From 2 kg of wheat flour — 10,000 (ten thousand) UZS;
- From 4 kg of barley — 16,000 (sixteen thousand) UZS;
- From 2 kg of raisins — 110,000 (one hundred ten thousand) UZS;
- From 4 kg of dates — 180,000 (one hundred eighty thousand) UZS was determined.
Everyone according to their capability, giving any one of these four products or its value as Fitr charity would suffice.
The amount of Fidyah
The amount for one day's Fidyah is equivalent to the amount of Fitr charity. Therefore, everyone according to their capability, giving any one of these four products or its value with the intention of Fidyah would suffice.
