The Trump administration is planning to ban citizens of countries on the «red» list from entering the USA. This list includes Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. It is noted that during Trump's first presidential term (2017-2021), individuals from the aforementioned countries were also barred from entering the USA. This time, Afghanistan may also be  added to this list.

Beyond the «red» list, a “maroon” list will also be introduced. Citizens of countries on this list will have the opportunity to enter the USA with limited types of visas and as short-term visitors.

Countries on the «yellow» list will be given 60 days to rectify their situation. They will need to comply with US requirements, including passport issuance regulations and providing information about tourists. Otherwise, they will be moved to the «red» or «maroon» list.

On his very first day in office - January 20, Trump instructed the US State Department to identify countries «whose information on examination and screening is extremely unreliable». Entry for citizens of these countries may be partially or completely stopped. This list is expected to be prepared within approximately two weeks.
