Temu must pay 46 billion UZS in taxes in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the tax committee, Mubin Mirzaev at a press conference held at the Information and Mass Communications Agency.

According to Mubin Mirzaev, today, in many countries, the biggest issue is the taxation of marketplaces or electronic trading systems.

“We have completely analyzed the system of trading through the internet. As a result of the analyses, we identified numerous cases of electronic trading organizations not paying taxes. Not only Temu but also the Wildberries organization had been evading taxes. Here arises the question, why specifically Temu? We have sent a warning letter to all electronic platforms regarding the fulfillment of their tax obligations,” he says.

The first deputy chairman of the tax committee reminded that Wildberries has paid 52 billion UZS in taxes.

"It was discovered that Temu had not paid approximately 46 billion UZS in taxes. We haven't audited them yet; these are the results of preliminary calculations. A letter of objection regarding these tax payments has been sent to the marketplace. As soon as they pay the taxes, we will create an opportunity to legalize their operations," — said Mubin Mirzaev.

He also added that the calculated taxes have not been audited yet, and in the case of non-payment of tax debt, a full inspection will be conducted, and separate information on the fulfillment of tax obligations will be provided.

The use of the Temu platform in Uzbekistan is to be restricted from March 20, 2025, as was reported.
