A video circulated on social media showing women obstructing and attacking traffic police officers who tried to fine the driver. The Prosecutor General's Office reacted to this situation.
It is noted that the incident was observed in the Denau district of Surkhandarya region. A group of women attacked traffic police officers who were trying to write a fine to the driver.
"A criminal case has been initiated under Article 277 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code in connection with the situation with traffic police inspectors of the Internal Affairs Department of the Denau district," the statement said.
Also, the prosecutor's office revealed that 3 suspects were detained in accordance with the procedure of the criminal case in connection with the above situation. He added that investigative actions are being carried out.
