In recent years, the incidence of respiratory diseases, in particular, bronchial asthma, has been increasing due to global climate change, an increase in allergens in the environment, and genetic factors. Especially in the spring and summer months, this disease disrupts the lives of many patients.

In this regard, the press service of the Ministry of Health organized an interview with Khayrullo Rajabov, a pulmonologist at the Republican Specialized Center of Phthisiology and Pulmonology. The specialist listed the factors that cause seasonal asthma attacks, measures for early detection and prevention of the disease.

The dangerous period of asthma - spring

Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract. "On average, it occurs in 5% of the world's population, and among children - up to 10%," says R. Razhakhov. - The disease especially intensifies in the spring and autumn months. It is accompanied by symptoms such as a dry cough, shortness of breath, chest heaviness, and shortness of breath.

Attacks usually occur at night or early in the morning and are quickly relieved by medication.

What causes seizures?

The main factors causing asthma are:
