Efforts to illegally send migrants to the US by local and foreign citizens were thwarted. The State Security Service informed darakchi.uz about this.
According to the information, during a rapid operation in the city of Tashkent, conducted in cooperation with the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office, a citizen of Samarkand, born in 1992, gained the trust of a foreign citizen, promising to send him and his four family members to work in the US through Turkey for 30 thousand US dollars each, making a total of 150 thousand US dollars. Furthermore, it was promised to arrange visa documents through connections in official positions in exchange for an upfront payment of 15 thousand US dollars, at which point he was detained.
In another case, a foreign citizen, temporarily residing in the capital since 2004, gained the trust of another foreign citizen, promising the possibility of obtaining fake British citizenship passports. Later, for a total of 25 thousand US dollars, it was promised to send them to the US via Turkey and the United Arab Emirates with these fake passports.
As a result of the conducted operations, this citizen was detained while having previously received 12,500 US dollars..
Also, fake passports and ID-cards were seized from his residence as material evidence.
Criminal cases have been initiated on both incidents under Article 168 Section 4 clause “a” and Article 28,211 Section 3 clause “a” of the Criminal Code, and investigation actions are underway.
