In Germany, a representative of the youth division of the “Green” party, Etta Nitsard, caused controversy in the Bundestag with a story posted on Instagram.
There, the politician appeared in a sweater with the inscription “ACAB” (commonly interpreted as “all cops are bastards”) and a cap with the phrase “Eat the rich.” The post was captioned: “Headed to the Bundestag.”
Even her allies were astonished by this incident. The deputy leader of the “Green” faction, Konstantin von Notz, described the inscription as "absolutely derogatory and unacceptable."
The President of the Bundestag, Paul Götke, mentioned that measures against Nitsard could be taken, even to the extent of revoking her entrance permit to the parliament building.
However, according to Der Spiegel, Nitsard will not be punished in the end. According to the Bundestag leader Julia Klöckner, she was dressed formally inside the parliament building.
Nonetheless, an explanatory conversation with the leadership of the “Green” party was conducted. Details were not disclosed.
