The delegation of Uzbekistan has secured 4 quotas for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. This was reported by the press service of the country's National Olympic Committee.
According to the selection results, Dmitry Chigirev and Ekaterina Geinish earned Olympic licenses in the pair skating competitions of figure skating, Medet Nazarov in the slalom and giant slalom disciplines of alpine skiing, and Daniil Eybog in the 500-meter distance of short track speed skating.
However, during the preparation process, Dmitry Chigirev was injured and could not recover in time for the competition. For this reason, the delegation of Uzbekistan will participate only in the alpine skiing and short track programs at the Olympics.
