Plans are being made to increase production volumes by developing new deposits and launching large investment projects.
On February 2, the head of state was briefed on the work being carried out in the coal and uranium sectors. It was noted that the plan was to extract 10 million tons of coal in the autumn-winter season of 2025-2026, and so far 9 million tons have been produced. The task for the upcoming season is to bring this indicator to 11 million tons.
Within the framework of the project to develop the Nishbash deposit in Angren, it is planned to extract 1 million tons of coal in 2026, and in the future to increase the annual capacity to 10 million tons. Also, a $5 billion project aimed at producing polymer products through deep processing of coal was discussed.
As for the uranium industry, last year 7 thousand tons of product were produced, and identified reserves reached 139 thousand tons. This year, the development of a number of new deposits will begin.
