A group of fake "religious figures" illegally earning income was detained in Namangan region. This was reported by the DIA to D.uz.
According to reports, during a rapid operation conducted in collaboration with the regional internal affairs department, a number of fake religious figures were detained in Namangan city, Yangi Namangan district, Uychi, To'raqo'rg'on, and Namangan districts.
In particular, in one of the multi-story buildings on Baliqchi Street in Namangan city, 15 individuals were providing religious lessons, and a woman living in the Ma'rifat neighborhood organized
religious studies for 14 underage children in her home, collecting 1.5 million soums per month from each of them.
In a similar case reported in Yangi Namangan district, a person born in 1983 was providing religious education to 10 underage girls and 3 adults in a secret "hujra" (room).
Similar situations were also observed in Uychi, To'raqo'rg'on, and Namangan districts.
Appropriate measures have now been taken against the fake "religious figures" as well as parents who failed to fulfill their child-rearing obligations.
