According to the press service of the Supreme Judicial Council, an official inspection was conducted regarding the reports about a lavish wedding allegedly involving a judge of the Tashkent Regional Court. The inspection found that the event shown in the circulated video did not take place at the judge's home, but rather at the home of a relative.
Furthermore, it was established that the child presented in the video as the judge's minor child does not actually belong to the judge. It was noted that the judge resides with family members in a multi-story building, and their youngest child is 22 years old.
During the inspection process, it was confirmed that the judge was present at the event at the relative's home during off-duty hours. Therefore, materials to assess whether his conduct is contrary to or not contrary to the requirements of the Code of Judicial Ethics have been sent to the Judicial Ethics Commission.
The press service of the Supreme Judicial Council stated that the final conclusion on this matter will be issued by the commission.
