According to Ankara's official position, this situation has arisen as a consequence of Israel's military crimes, which it has been committing for many years, and its systematic violations of international law norms going unpunished.

The statement notes that the report prepared by the UN-backed IPC monitoring group clearly demonstrates the extent to which the policies being implemented against the Palestinians in Gaza are leading to catastrophic consequences.

"Due to the Netanyahu government's genocidal course and its merciless attitude towards the Palestinians, the humanitarian catastrophe is expanding to an unprecedented degree. Most regrettably, the fact that the military crimes and violations of international law committed so far have gone unpunished is further emboldening Israel and turning it into an aggressor to a dangerous extent," the statement says.
