A.Kh., who was recruited while serving a sentence in Russia, voluntarily contacted the internal affairs agencies upon returning to his homeland and admitted his guilt.

A.Kh., 27, born in Pakhtachi district, was imprisoned in Russia in 2021 for a drug-related crime and was released in 2024 in exchange for participating in the war against Ukraine.

He fought as part of the Russian army in battles in Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and other areas. After being wounded and recovering, he returned to Uzbekistan and voluntarily went to the internal affairs agencies.

The court, taking into account his admission of guilt, remorse, and difficult financial situation, sentenced him to 3 years of deprivation of liberty. He will serve the sentence in a general regime colony.
