According to the report of the State Security Service, in December 2024, during prosecutorial inspections on the construction of a new preschool educational institution building commissioned in the Bekabad district of the Tashkent region, a shortage of 176 million soums was identified. A criminal case was initiated under Article 167 (Misappropriation or Embezzlement) of the Criminal Code against the officials of the LLC that carried out the construction, and a preliminary investigation was appointed.

Upon learning of this, the chief legal consultant of the State Institution "Unified Customer Service" of the Tashkent regional administration, through his official acquaintances, demanded $8,400 USD from the head of the LLC in exchange for ensuring a positive outcome of the preliminary investigation results.

During an operational event carried out by employees of the State Security Service Directorate for the Tashkent region, the chief legal consultant was caught red-handed while receiving the agreed sum of money.

A criminal case was initiated against him under Part 3, paragraph "v" of Article 168 and Article 211, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, and the preventive measure of "detention" was applied.

Investigative actions are ongoing.
