At a regular session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a draft law proposing amendments to the Code on Administrative Responsibility was reviewed in the first reading. According to the draft, failure to inform a buyer if a car's odometer readings have been altered or the device has been replaced prior to its sale will result in administrative liability.

The document stipulates a fine amounting to 10–15 times the BCA, specifically from 4.12 million soums to 6.18 million soums.

An odometer is a device that records the distance traveled by a vehicle, and its operating mechanism is based on counting wheel rotations.
