A bus carrying 54 Uzbek citizens was involved in a traffic accident in Kazakhstan's Aktobe region.
According to information from Kazakhstan's authorized agencies, on November 30 at 21:00, a VanHool passenger bus traveling on the Moscow–Tashkent route on the Russian Federation – Aktobe – Kyzylorda – Almaty road of republican significance was involved in a road traffic accident.
At the time of the incident, there were 54 citizens of Uzbekistan on the bus. There were no injured or fatalities as a result of the accident.
All passengers were temporarily accommodated in a mosque in the village of Karabutak, Aiteke Bi district, Aktobe region, by emergency services and police officers. Food and necessary assistance are being provided to the citizens.
Measures are being taken to promptly return the citizens to Uzbekistan by another bus.
The situation is under the full control of Uzbekistan's Embassy and Consulate General in Kazakhstan, and constant communication has been established with the responsible agencies on the Kazakh side.
