Two cases related to fraud and bribery were exposed in Fergana.

It was revealed that in Rishton, a cadastre department inspector demanded a bribe from a citizen instead of imposing a fine, and in another case, employees of a state institution asked for money from the tender winner.

It became known that the chief inspector of the cadastre department in Rishton district of Fergana region demanded $400 for not imposing a fine on a citizen's illegal construction and for formalizing the land plot. During an urgent operation conducted by the State Security Service and other agencies, he was caught while taking the requested money in front of his colleague.

In another case, in October 2025, it was established that a demand for $5,500 was made from the head of a private company that won a tender for the repair of a building of the "Fergana Suv Qurilish Invest" state institution for 850 million soums, in exchange for permission to begin the repairs. During the urgent operation, the responsible persons were apprehended while taking $5,000.

Regarding these cases, criminal proceedings have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and the investigation is ongoing.
