Employees who read the most books in ministries are encouraged with monetary rewards.

In all ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, the employee who reads the most books to promote reading will be rewarded with a one-month salary bonus.

According to the President's decree on "Developing a Culture of Reading," by April 1, 2026, a "Book Corner" will be established in all ministries and agencies, and a "Book Reading Hour" will be implemented monthly for employees. Additionally, an internal rating system for reading will be introduced.

Based on a competition, employees who have read the most books will be awarded a cash prize equivalent to one month's salary. Furthermore, it has been established that the 100 most active readers among pupils and students will receive a reward of 25 BHM — 10.3 million soums.

By the decree, a Fund for the Development of Reading Culture will be established under the Youth Affairs Agency, and the activity of "In the Footsteps of the Jadids" reading clubs will be launched in schools.
