It is reported that the footballer did not play in the recent training sessions and friendly matches against the national teams of Canada and the Netherlands during the training camp in the USA due to lower back pain.
According to the UFA, Masharipov has been experiencing lower back pain in recent weeks. Initially, his condition improved through medication and physiotherapy. However, the pain later recurred.
The results of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination showed that the footballer’s previously observed intervertebral disc herniation had recurred.
Currently, Jaloliddin Masharipov’s condition is being monitored by the medical staff of the national team. According to the UFA, additional information will be provided to the public once final medical conclusions are received.
For reference, Jaloliddin Masharipov is considered one of the leading footballers of the Uzbekistan national team, and his potential long-term absence could be a serious problem for the team.
