Due to unfavorable weather conditions in the Fergana Valley — heavy snowfall — several flights on January 23 were redirected to alternate airfields.
According to the press service of Uzbekistan Airports:
S7 Airlines flight S76311 on the Irkutsk-Andijan route decided to divert to the alternate airfield in Osh (landed at 00:01 local time).
Air Samarkand flight 9S5010 on the Jeddah-Namangan route decided to divert to the alternate airfield in Samarkand (landed at 00:27 local time).
Ural Airlines flight U62963 on the Yekaterinburg-Namangan route decided to divert to the alternate airfield in Samarkand (landed at 00:40 local time).
Uzbekistan Airways flight HY9806 on the Samara-Namangan route decided to divert to the alternate airport in Tashkent (landed at 04:11 local time).
FlyOne Asia flight 7Q4452 on the Medina-Namangan route decided to change its route to the alternate airport in Tashkent (landed at 06:05 local time).
In information announced by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports at around 9:30, it was stated that Namangan International Airport is currently operating normally.
