As a result, more than a thousand traffic rule violations, cases of people being injured and killed have been recorded.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, within the framework of the criminal case initiated regarding cases of falsifying driver's licenses, it has been established that in 8 regions, licenses were illegally issued to more than 1,200 persons.
The investigation revealed that at least 455 of these persons violated traffic rules a total of 1,305 times. Furthermore, 9 road traffic incidents occurred, resulting in 6 citizens receiving bodily injuries of varying severity, and 3 people were killed.
Experts emphasize that driver's licenses obtained without proper qualification and in violation of the law sharply increase danger on the roads. This leads not only to an increase in road traffic accidents, but also to severe consequences such as people becoming disabled or losing their lives.
Currently, a special investigative-operational group at the Prosecutor General's Office is conducting a full review of all forged licenses and the documents that served as the basis for their formalization. Investigative actions are ongoing.
