The activities of a major drug laboratory that had been preparing synthetic drugs were stopped by a special rapid-response group consisting of employees of the Tashkent and Andijan regional departments of the Customs Committee, the State Security Service, and internal affairs bodies.
It is reported that a person initially placed under surveillance in the Zangiata district of the Tashkent region was detained, and upon inspection, 0.13 grams of "hashish" were found on him. Subsequently, during urgent operational measures, 900 liters of precursors stored in 5 containers were discovered in a warehouse located by the roadside on the section of the Tashkent Ring Road passing through the Zangiata district.
The rapid investigation led to the Andijan region. It was established that two other individuals placed under covert surveillance had taken 100 liters of liquid and 25 kg of powder-form precursors buried at various locations and brought them to a country house in the Bogishamol neighborhood of Andijan city.
During an inspection carried out at this location with the participation of witnesses, a clandestine drug laboratory was exposed. A total of 26 kg of "mephedrone," as well as 590 liters of various chemical liquids and precursors, along with special equipment, were seized from the country house as material evidence.
According to preliminary information, the suspects bought the country house for 15,800 US dollars and launched the illegal activity with the assistance of a person nicknamed "Simon" on social networks.
Urgent investigative actions regarding the case are being continued by customs authorities. It is noted that since the beginning of the year, over 200 kg of drugs and 27 kg of psychotropic and potent substances have been removed from illegal circulation across the republic.
