The average age of the population of Uzbekistan was 29.5 years. The National Statistics Committee reported this.
According to the report, as of January 1, 2026, the average age of the republic's population reached 29.5 years.
In the regional breakdown, the highest figure was recorded in the city of Tashkent, where the average age of the capital's population was 32.7 years.
The next places were recorded in Bukhara region (31.1 years), Tashkent region (31 years), Navoi region (30.1 years), and Fergana region (30 years).
The lowest figure was recorded in Surkhandarya region, where the average age of the population of this region was 27.4 years. Also, in Kashkadarya region this figure was 27.7 years, in Jizzakh region 28.4 years, and in Samarkand region 28.5 years.
In the remaining regions, the average age of the population is as follows:
— Republic of Karakalpakstan – 29.8 years;
— Andijan region – 29.5 years;
— Khorezm region – 29.5 years;
— Namangan region – 29 years;
— Syrdarya region – 28.7 years.
