Mudflows and floods may occur in the foothill and mountainous areas of Uzbekistan on June 9–12. This was reported by Uzhydromet.
According to reports, due to the expected rains, the risk of mudflows remains in some districts of Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Samarkand, Navoi, Jizzakh, Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana and Andijan regions.
In particular, water flows may increase sharply in the foothill and mountainous areas, and water levels in streams and rivers may rise.
In this regard, residents of mountainous areas, vacationers and drivers are asked to take precautionary measures.
Uzhydromet also reported that due to heavy rains in some areas across the republic, there is a possibility of rainwater accumulation and partial flooding of areas.
