Yesterday, on June 8, BBC editor Sarah Smith
said in a brief phone conversation with President Donald Trump that she discussed his communications with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prior to the strikes on Iran, the publication reports.
It notes that when asked whether Netanyahu had defied Trump's instructions by striking Iran on June 7, Trump said that by the time he spoke with the Israeli prime minister, the missiles were already en route.
He also said: "If I tell him to do something, he does it."
For reference, the conversation between Trump and the journalist lasted just under a minute.
