Short-term rain and thunderstorms may be observed in a number of regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Uzgidromet.
According to reports, the weather in Tashkent city will be partly cloudy and variable. In the evening, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible. The wind from the east will be 3–8 meters per second, at times it may increase to 10–12 meters per second and be accompanied by dust storms. The temperature will be around 22–24 at night and 36–38 during the day.
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas during the second half of the day. Wind speed may increase to 13–18 meters per second in some regions. Air temperature will be 18–23 at night and 32–37 during the day.
No precipitation is expected in Khorezm region. The temperature will rise to 18–23 at night and 33–38 during the day.
In Bukhara and Navoi regions, no precipitation is forecast. However, in some places, wind may increase and dust storms may occur. During the day, the air temperature will reach 36–41 degrees.
In Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh, and Samarkand regions, short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur in some places during the second half of the day. The temperature will remain around 33–38 degrees during the day.
No precipitation is expected in Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions. The temperature may rise up to 42 degrees in some areas.
In Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions, there is a possibility of short-term rain and thunderstorms in some places towards evening. During the day, the air warms up to 33–38 degrees.
In the foothill and mountainous areas of the republic, short-term rains and thunderstorms may be observed. Experts warn of the risk of mudslides and floods.
Also, according to weather forecasters, on the hottest days of summer, the air temperature across the republic may rise to 42–44 degrees, and in the northern, southern, and desert areas, to 45–47 degrees.
