Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and an entrepreneur, stated that the US government should pay the population in order to mitigate the unemployment that will arise due to artificial intelligence. He wrote about this on his X social network.
According to his emphasis, artificial intelligence and robotics will produce goods and services at rates much higher than the growth of the money supply.
"Providing a high universal income through checks from the federal government is the most effective way to fight the unemployment brought by artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence and robotics will produce goods and services in volumes much higher than the growth of the money supply, so inflation will not be observed," wrote Musk.
According to a Goldman Sachs report, as a result of the development of artificial intelligence, up to 300 million jobs worldwide could be automated or reduced. Furthermore, this technology is likely to affect about 40% of jobs globally, and in developed countries this figure could reach up to 60%.
