Two Uzbek citizens who were on the international wanted list have been identified in Turkey and extradited to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul here.
According to the information, as a result of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries, the residence addresses of the individuals who were on the international wanted list were determined in Turkey.
One of them — M.B. was wanted under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan and had been hiding in Turkey for a long time.
Also, J.B. was apprehended in Turkey. He was wanted under Article 104 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code.
Both citizens were handed over to Uzbekistan in the prescribed manner. Currently, relevant investigative and judicial proceedings are being conducted against them.
