Fabio Cannavaro, head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, shared his thoughts on the reasons for the defeat at a press conference held after the final match of the World Cup group stage. He noted that the team played well in the first half, but mistakes in the second half negatively affected the result. "We spent a lot of energy in the first half. Our physical preparation was at a good level until today, and we moved well in that aspect today as well. We knew our opponent was also a physically well-prepared team. Before the match, we understood it would be difficult if we did not control the ball. In the second half, we made mistakes and consequently conceded goals," said Cannavaro. According to the Italian specialist, the Uzbekistan national team created a number of dangerous opportunities in the first half. "We started the first half very well and had many chances. But in the second half, we started making mistakes, and that cost us dearly," said the head coach. Cannavaro also noted that this tournament was an important experience for the team. "This tournament was a great experience for both me and the players. I think this will give us great motivation in the future," he said. Furthermore, the coach emphasized that he knew in advance they would face strong opponents in the group stage and expressed satisfaction with the players' efforts. "Of course, I had a lot of communication with the players. We knew we would play against strong teams in our group. But we regret this result. Yes, we made mistakes. However, I do not want to complain about the players at all. They did everything they could, and I am proud of them," said Fabio Cannavaro.
