Several clubs from Europe's top five leagues have expressed interest in Uzbekistan national team defender Bekhruz Karimov. The footballer himself announced this during the welcoming ceremony for the national team at Tashkent International Airport.
According to Karimov, he has received official offers from several clubs, and negotiations between the parties are ongoing. The footballer stated that he will carefully study all options and make the most favorable decision for himself.
He also mentioned Real Madrid of Spain as the club he dreams of playing for in the future.
"In the first match against Colombia, there were over 80,000 local fans in the stadium. Despite that, our fans continuously supported us behind our goal throughout the entire match. This gave us even more strength, and we felt that we must give our all on the field, especially for those fans. Of course, hard work will bear fruit. We did our best. God willing, we will increase our efforts further and achieve good results," said Karimov.
For reference, Bekhruz Karimov played the full 90 minutes in both matches against Colombia and Portugal in the World Cup as part of the Uzbekistan national team.
Earlier, it was reported that another Uzbekistan national team player, Jahongir Urozov, may continue his career at Germany's Borussia Mönchengladbach.
