FIFA has imposed a transfer ban on Uzbekistan’s “Andijon” football club. This was announced by the Uzbekistan Professional Football League.
According to the statement, in an official letter sent to the Uzbekistan Football Association, FIFA noted that “Andijon” had failed to fulfill its financial obligations to Albania’s “Laçi” club in a timely manner.
Under FIFA’s decision, the club was required to eliminate the debt within 45 days. However, no payment was made even by the final deadline of June 10.
Subsequently, FIFA banned “Andijon” from registering new players for three consecutive transfer windows until the matter is fully resolved.
It is noted that the debt is related to the transfer of Slovenian midfielder Altin Kreziu. Now, “Andijon” must fully settle accounts with “Laçi” regarding this transfer. The club will notify FIFA once the financial obligations are fulfilled, and after “Laçi” confirms this, the transfer ban may be lifted.
For reference, 23-year-old Altin Kreziu joined “Andijon” at the start of the 2025 season. He played 19 matches for the team, scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists. Later, the club terminated the player’s contract before the end of the season.
Recall that earlier, it was reported that by FIFA’s decision, a transfer ban was also imposed on the “Bunyodkor” football club until a financial dispute involving Brazilian player Rivaldo was resolved.
