"This is my last World Cup. I need to enjoy it," Ronaldo said.
He stated that regardless of the outcome of the match against Spain, he will not regret his decision.
"One thousand percent. I play because I love football. No matter what, I will be happy. I do not put pressure on myself that I must necessarily win until the end of my career," said the Portuguese footballer.
For the record, this tournament is Cristiano Ronaldo's sixth World Cup in his career. He has won the European Championship in 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and 2025 with the Portugal national team.
Portugal will face Spain in the Round of 16 of the World Cup. The match will take place on July 6.
