President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated at the ADB meeting that Uzbekistan's economy has achieved 8.7 percent growth, attracted 150 billion dollars in investment, and that the country is becoming a center for "green energy," artificial intelligence, and regional logistics.
The head of state emphasized that large-scale economic reforms have been implemented in the country since 2016. According to him, the economy has reached 147 billion dollars, and exports have increased threefold.
The President announced that poverty has been reduced from 35 percent to 5.8 percent, and the goal is to grow the economy to 240 billion dollars by 2030.
Furthermore, major regional initiatives on artificial intelligence, "green" energy, transport corridors, critical minerals, and tourism were advanced.
Mirziyoyev proposed expanding new financing and investment platforms in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank.
