In the Toyloq district of the Samarkand region, an official who demanded a bribe in exchange for issuing a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion was detained. This was reported by the State Security Service.

According to the report, the head of the department of the Toyloq district Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health division, through his official acquaintances, demanded 9 million soums from an individual entrepreneur in exchange for issuing a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion for a bakery and bakery products production workshop.

It was noted that this individual had previously received 100 US dollars and 500,000 soums. Later, while receiving another 400 US dollars of the demanded amount, he was caught with material evidence by employees of the State Security Service, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office, and internal affairs bodies.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident. Investigative actions are underway.

The State Security Service has called on citizens to contact the agency via the short number 1520 if they encounter corruption or other legal violations. It was noted that the confidentiality of the applicant's identity is guaranteed.
