Today, August 1, the acceptance of applications from students of higher education institutions for accommodation in student dormitories began. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation reported this.
According to the report, applications are accepted through the my.gov.uz portal. First, applicants with benefits and priority are placed in the dormitory. The remaining places are distributed based on the general list across stages.
According to it, 55–65 percent of dormitory places are allocated to 1st year students, 15–20 percent to 2nd year students, and up to 20–25 percent to 3rd year students and above.
Applications will be accepted from August 1 until the end of the academic year. Applicants recommended for the 1st year for the 2026/2027 academic year will be able to submit an application for the dormitory once the final results of admission are announced.
Also, from August 1, the services for placing students in dormitories and temporary registration have been unified into a single electronic system. Now, after the application is approved, an electronic contract and referral will be generated, and after the payment is made, temporary registration will be automatically formalized.
